Claude was born in Montreal, Canada where he still lives with his wife and two children. His interest in travelling has started many years ago when he decided to pursue his college education at Jacksonville University in Florida because of his interest into golf. He played on the golf team and graduated with a bachelor degree in marketing and management. He's had a professional golf career specializing in teaching. His interest for photography has begun while capturing videos and taking high speed photos for many years of his student golf swings. For many years, Claude has also taken many photos of different golf landscapes because of his interest of painting as an artist. After a while, he decided to pursue a course of photography with the Photography Institute, a course outlined by the American photographer George Seper, and finally got his diploma in professional photography.
His interest in travelling to Asia came after spending a few weeks to Vietnam. He was enchanted about the people and their vision of life, their cultures and the numerous historical sites and beautiful landscapes. He came back with so many great souvenirs and photos that he had promised himself to return to rediscover even more great Asian's countries .
His association with Caroline Pang and Indie travellers has been a blessing. '' As a photography guide, now I am able to bring people and let them discover these amazing places in this part of the world. These will be trips of a lifetime which they will cherish for the rest of their life ''.
Caroline photographs numerous subjects from travel to conservation photography. Her work is primarily used for NGO communications, fundraising and journalistic activities.
Born and raised in Sabah (Malaysian Borneo), Caroline began to discover photography sometime in the mid 90s. That was during the early part of her career in tourism and hospitality management where she was attached to Mayflower Acme Tours, one of Malaysia's largest Destination Management Companies (DMC) and later with one of the Renaissance international chain of hotels. She was actively involved in developing nature-based tourism in the Southeast Asia region and promoting them worldwide. A great deal of her time is spent outdoor, photographing the natural environment. These experiences fueled up her interest in environmentalism which led her into a career switch to conservation with WWF, an international Non Governmental Organization, advocating for sustainable use of wetlands.
Thereafter, she sets off on her own to continue her photography interest in conservation and environmental projects. Her photography complements her other works on NGO communications and sustainable tourism development. She is also the founder of Indie Travellers, a travel portal to market ecotourism programmes for community-based and non-profit organizations in Asia. Caroline is based in Singapore and available for assignments throughout Asia.
